Day two of the Forum and Exhibition opened with the roundtable "Fish Seek Deeper Waters…". Experts fr om VNIRO's headquarters and regional branches joined colleagues from China to discuss methods for assessing commercial stocks of aquatic bioresources and the trends shaping those stocks.

How to use fish and seafood responsibly as global stocks become more constrained was the focus of the Fish Union roundtable "Fish in the Age of Globalization: Economics and Consumption – From Price to Value". A second Fish Union roundtable, "Fish Day Every Day: Expanding Seafood Consumption", turned to practical industry action: increasing fish consumption and making healthy eating a stronger part of the public agenda. Participants discussed measures market players are ready to pursue together under the programme.

Progress in the consumer market was recognised on the Main Arena, wh ere awards were presented to the winners of the "Best Fish Product" Competition, recipients of the Golden Pollock Award, and contributors to the "Fish Day Every Day" programme promoting seafood consumption
